The Job
Berry Street–South 9th Street is one of nine Brooklyn developments rebuilt under NYCHA's PACT program as Brooklyn Bundle II — 37 buildings, 2,625 apartments, $434 million, home to more than 6,000 people. Completion was announced by the Mayor's office, HUD, and NYCHA leadership.
PPR was on the apartments.
What PPR Handled
Full unit turnarounds at Berry Street:
- New kitchens, cabinets to countertops
- New bathrooms
- New electrical panels
- New flooring through living areas and hallways
- Paint throughout
Roofs, elevators, windows, boilers, plumbing risers, façades, lobbies, cameras, solar — that was the wider program. Inside the apartments was PPR.
What Finished Looks Like
The photographs on this page aren't renderings. They're the units.
A galley kitchen with new cabinetry, a solid counter run, tiled backsplash, and a new fixture overhead. A bedroom with new flooring wall to wall, clean paint, a new radiator enclosure under the window. A lobby that residents walk through every day.
